Week Twenty-Four

Welcome back to the Champagne Legacy! I apologise for the delay in posting this. Real life interfered!

On with the chapter..

space

** Sunday **

space

A common occurance: a fire broke out in the kitchen.. This time I cannot remember who the culprit was, but Anthony the Brave saved them.

The stress of an early morning fire had a strong effect on Anna..

“Mum, your freak out is completely unneccesary”

Welcome to the family Jacob Champagne!

After the excitement, Harold sought solace in the garden.

And now to prove to you that Harold is actually a good daddy, he snuck in a cuddle with his son before going to bed.

In other news, Dakota moved out with her lover, Bobby Darden. They moved into the old Lothario farmstead.

space

** Monday **

space

It’s Jacob’s toddler birthday! I don’t like sims nooboos.

The family threw a huge party, and look who’s expecting and unimpressed..

After all the hellos, Jacob was finally brought to his cake, he aged into a cute toddler, with his grandma Paige’s hair colour, and the cursed purple eyes that have haunted this family since Patrick was married in!

The party was a huge success.

Not one to waste any time, Harold set about teaching Jake his essential skills.

At work, Paige was promoted to Sketch Artist.

space

** Tuesday **

space

I thought this was cute! Great-grandpa Patrick played xylophone with Jacob!

Anna then stepped in to continue teaching Jake his skills.

At work, Anthony was promoted to Undercover Specialist.

In the evening, Harold went down to City Hall to play for tips.

Again, performing in his underwear is still his favourite.

space

** Wednesday **

space

Dakota gave birth to twin girls – Lakeisha and Glenda! No photos till they are toddlers!

Paige and Anthony played a friendly game of chess together!

Harold was sent to the library to play for tips. While there we saw Violet (Rosie’s daughter) and Oliver (Brooke’s son) arrive.

Oliver

Violet

Harold also rolled a new LTW – to be a World Renowned Surgeon. He was sent to the hospital where he took a job as an organ donor.

space

** Thursday **

space

Aww..

Did I forget to mention that Anna was pregnant? Well now she’s in labour..

Welcome to the family Finn Champagne. He’s a clumsy genius. I’ll point out now that Finn ends up being my all-time favourite Champagne!

OH, and Paige is pregnant..didn’t see that one coming did you?! It was an accident whoops! Forced onto maternity leave, Paige uses her spare time to work out!

space

** Friday **

Space

Paige went to visit Dakota and her twins, who had just aged into toddlers.

“Is my mother pregnant?”

This is Glenda..

and Lakeisha..

Paige returned home just in time..

Paige gave birth to a healthy baby boy, Felix Champagne. He’s a genius who loves the outdoors.

Speaking of geniuses, it was also Finn’s toddler birthday.

space

** Saturday **

space

The Champagne’s thew a party to celebrate Felix’s toddler birthday.

He is quite a sweetheart!

In other news, Anna announced her third pregnancy.

space

That’s all for this week!

Happy simming!!

Week Twenty-Three

Welcome back..

** Sunday **

Paige was looking for that little bit extra in her workouts, so she enlisted the help of her great grandfather, Hunter.

I have never seen ghosts train people before..I was quite excited!

Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Dakota was reading up on..pregnancy?

Dakota, you’re a teen. You cant be pregnant?!

Dakota “I’m not. The pain of others pleases me”

With that in mind, I sent her off to the gym to work out with her father. They both seemed to enjoy it as they smiled the whole way through their workouts.

Back at home, there was sadness.

The pain of losing her husband was too much for Selena, and she joined him in the afterlife only a day later.

Those who were home mourned her passing.

I never realised how much Paige looked like her mother till this photo..

My dear Selena Champagne – wife to the late Chace, mother to Brooke & Paige, grandmother to Anna, Dakota, Rory and Oliver.

May you rest in peace.

** Monday **

With such tragic loses in the family, the girls decided to bond with their other relatives.

Dakota brought her cousin, Ann, home with her from school.

Meanwhile, inside the house the girls all did their homework together (Ann had run off to work).

After completing her homework, Anna went to visit her mother’s cousin, John Gregg, however, John wasn’t home, and his new housemate, Harold, opened the door.

At work, Paige was promoted to Crime Scene Technician.

** Tuesday **

With no one to look after the garden, Anthony took over the role.

After work, Paige began working on the heir’s portrait.

Anna also invited Harold over to continue chatting with him (potential spouse much?! He’s so handsome).

Random fact: I put a copy of Danielle Champagne in Sunset Valley. Harold is actually her son with Hank Goddard. I thought he was cute so I put a copy of him in riverview (I didn’t change any of his traits, his LTW or his appearance in any way).

** Wednesday **

At work, Anthony was again promoted to lieutenant, hooray.

To celebrate he threw a birthday party for the girls.

Rory aged up first, and added flirty to her traits. Her LTW is to be a heartbreaker.

Next up was Dakota, who added genius. She had already rolled Empress of Evil.

Next it was Anna’s turn. She added natural cook to her traits, and has the LTW to be a Celebrated Five Star Chef. She also gained the title of heiress.

Straight away Anna made her feelings towards Harold clear.

He reciprocated, and one thing led to another..

Welcome to the family, Harold.

His traits are over-emotional, inappropriate, charismatic, green thumb, friendly. His LTW is to be super popular.

** Thursday **

Dakota joined the criminal career as a decoy. She came home to meet the new maid, Bobby Darden, who she thought was pretty darn cute!

(sorry about the poor graphics here)

Harold was sent to city hall to play guitar.

Harold was of the impression that playing in your underwear creates a bigger fan base!

Also, Rory moved out.

** Friday **

Anna headed down to the library to read up on cooking.

While there she poofed into maternity wear! And so it was that generation 6 was on its way.

Anthony was also promoted to Vice Squad.

** Saturday **

Dakota was off to a great start in her career.

At home, Paige finally completed Anna’s portrait.

That’s all for this week!

Happy Simming!!

Week Twenty-Two

I’ve started a new legacy, one I’m actually playing for points. It’s called the Bouvier Legacy, and you can check it out here.

space

space

Back to the Champagnes..and this week must’ve been quiet as I haven’t written many notes for it, so I apologise in advance if it is shorter than my normal posts.

** Sunday **

After meeting the ghosts of both his great-grandparents, John called Marcy, his new squeeze.

Meanwhile, down at the bistro, Rory got acquainted with Augustine. Lord only knows why she was wandering around town in her bikini.

Eyes up buddy! She’s just a teen..

It was also Anthony’s adult birthday, but I clearly thought it was not photo worthy.

** Monday **

John moved out, back into his parents house as he had inherited all of their money at his YA birthday. Due to their early deaths, the family had acquired a lot of insurance money. I forgot to mention but at his YA birthday he rolled the want to be a world-renowned surgeon. I think it was so he could cure the illness that took his parents from him (aww).

After school, Paige took the girls swimming at the local pool, even if only cause she needed to swim for one of her opportunities.

It was a great family bonding time.

Chace, with his free time, went to visit his other daughter, Brooke, and her son, Oliver.

** Tuesday **

Down at the bistro, Selena was arguing politics with anyone who would listen. At this point it was Jeannine Pearl..

After her thrilling debate, she returned to wowing her audience with her super awesome guitar strumming.

At work, Anthony was promoted to Sketch Artist. To celebrate, he was sent straight to the treadmill to work out. Now you might be thinking ‘that’s not a celebration’ but I’m not mean..he loves it..

..see, I told ya!

After completing a guitar class, I found Anna outside reading a new book “I’m Still Cool”. I hadn’t realised the poor girl had esteem issues :(

At home, Paige celebrated her adult birthday. I’m not so sure she was impressed with the new hairstyle I gave her though..

** Wednesday **

Breakfast time..

Chace was sent to Azalea Acres Community Garden to garden.

He ran into his cousin, Grady Crosby, and the other Crosbys – Bambi, Emmett and Latasha. I’m not going to post a photo of them, but seriously they are the closest knit family – they go EVERYWHERE together.

After busking at City Hall, Selena ran into John outside the bookstore.

Chace randomly rolled a want to see a game at the stadium, so I let him. I went to check on him after the game ended and found him chatting to his son, Ethan. Aw, they went to a game together :)

** Thursday **

The girls all did various things after school – Rory fixed the boiler, and Anna researched the science facility.

Paige was promoted to Wiretap Reader and was given a laptop.

When she got home she was sent to practice chess and work on her logic.

Out the back, Anthony worked on his logic using the telescope.

** Friday **

I sent Selena to visit her daughter, Brooke, and niece, Rosanna. Oliver and Violet had aged into children.

Oliver has Brooke’s nose, but that’s about it.

Back at home, Anthony was trying his hand at painting.

It was at this point that I realised I must’ve selected the wrong track for him to follow. His LTW is to be an International Super Spy (ooops). Poor Anthony had to quit his job, and then start again as a Patrol Officer.

** Saturday **

No better way to start the weekend than with a healthy workout.

Rory, as always, escaped skilling to go eat at the Diner. $50 later and all she got was a cookie. Rory, I am not impressed.

Anthony went to visit his boss, Jacob Lobos, in order to train him. I figured it was best to befriend the boss so Anthony could get promoted quickly again.

Saturday was a lovely day for the Champagnes..till this happened..

Chace had gone to tutor his granddaughter, Ann. Poor Ann was devastated.

RIP Chace Champagne. Loving husband of Selena, father to Ethan, Brooke and Paige, grandfather to Ann, Rory, Dakota, Anna and Oliver.

Forever in our thoughts.

Sorry to leave you on a sad note, see you all next time!

Happy Simming!

Week Twenty One

Welcome back to the Champagne Legacy.

** Sunday **

It was straight into skilling for the girls, who had just aged into children.

Anna painted..

Anna

Dakota played chess..

Dakota

And Rory chatted up potential future spouses (you can never start too early).

Rory

Their parents didn’t get off lightly either. Anthony worked on his logic while Paige worked out.

Paige

After working out, Chace was sent to visit his son, Ethan, and granddaughter, Ann, who had just aged into a child.

Ann

Irene Funke, Paige’s partner at work, came to visit Dakota.

Irene: “You might have your parents fooled, but this town will not tolerate evil behaviour”

** Monday **

I sent Selena into town to max her charisma. While hanging out at the bistro she spotted Matthew’s girls, Carly and Teresa. Carly was crying. A quick glance at the family tree showed that their mother, Haeju, had died.

Selena offered Carly a quick comforting hug. Teresa was not impressed.

While there Selena also became partner at the bistro.

Somehow Paige managed to escape my control and I found her visiting her cousin, Bryce. His father, Shea, had also passed away.

Paige & Bryce

** Tuesday **

Chace was sent to visit his daughter, Brooke.

Brooke was living with her cousin, Rosanna, on the other side of town. Randomly, both had spawned babies.

Rosie had a little girl, who she called Violet, and Brooke had a son, Oliver..

Oliver hey?!

Brooke: “Yeah, it just came to me a while back..”

Right..

Back at home..

Dakota

Dakota: “I am pure evil..mwahaha”

** Wednesday **

Anthony continued to work on his logic at the telescope.

After tending to the garden, Selena went into town to have lunch with the Crosbys – Emmett, Shawanda, Grady and Bambi.

Back at home, Paige continued to work out, and Dakota thought it would be fun to scare her father.

Dak “Rarr”

Dak “That was fun”

Ashlee also passed away :(

** Thursday **

Being somewhat handy around the house, Chace was sent to upgrade the speakers.

Meanwhile, at work Anthony was impressing his boss. On wednesday he received a $270 raise, putting him on $412/hour at level 6 in the Law Enforcement Career.

Today he managed another $270 raise, putting him on $682/hour, still at level 6. His boss seriously loves him, and who wouldn’t?!

He also got promoted to Crime Scene Technician.

Paige also got a promotion, to lieutenant.

Selena went down to City hall to play the guitar. While there John Gregg, son of Danielle and Thaddeus, came to watch. Thaddeus had just passed away, leaving John (a teen) home alone.

John Gregg

Except for his cornrows and hair colour, he looks just like his mother.

** Friday **

Paige was asked to read “Free Donuts and Other Great Leadership Tips”

Selena went to visit Brooke, as both Oliver and Violet had aged into toddlers.

Oliver & Violet

Violet inherited her mother’s skin tone and hair colour. Oliver inherited Selena’s black hair and blue eyes.

Back at home it was the triplet’s birthday.

Rory – Commitment Issues

Rory is a blonde version of her aunty, Brooke.

Dakota – Innapropriate
Anna – Party Animal

Chace went to visit his nephew, John.

And since I’m not playing for points, Chace invited John to live with them so he wasn’t alone.

John Gregg

He definitely inherited the Champagne’s classic good looks.

** Saturday **

Well moving John in was pointless, Saturday was his birthday to Young Adult.

The Champagne’s threw him a party to celebrate, but before then, it was skilling time.

Dakota worked out.

and Anna painted.

Eventually it was time for the party.

Dakota, as always, was her usual pleasant self.

Despite this, John grew up into a handsome YA.

John Gregg

He looks quite feminine, but it’s cause he takes so much after his mother.

Chace managed to complete the Body Builder Skill Challenge.

And on that note, I shall leave you. Till next time, happy simming!

Rory

Week Twenty

I just wanted to say a big thank you to all of you have been reading this legacy. I always feel all warm and fuzzy when I see that people have visited this site, and it encourages me to keep going, so thank you.

** Sunday **

Chace completed the plumber skill challenge.

As a reward, I let Chace go visit his son, Ethan. He had had a daughter with his wife, Doris. They called her Ann.

Back to this family..

Yes, I dislike nooboos, they aren’t very helpful, so I like to age them up early.

Anna

Anna – Good and Virtuoso

Rory

Rory – Friendly and Clumsy

Dakota

Dakota – Evil and Athletic

Straight away the family was sent to toddler train. Paige tried to teach Anna to talk..and doesn’t she look pleased.

Paige: “Say mummy”

Anna: “Daddy”

Brooke taught Dakota..

And Chace taught Rory.

In sad news, Chace’s big sister, Danielle, passed away. She had only just turned elder so I blame the stress of working in politics.

In happier news, I thought this was sweet. Everyday Selena autonomously asks everyone in the family “How was your day?”. I just love friendly charismatic sims.

** Monday **

I sent Chace down to the bookstore to buy some toddler books for the girls.

And there was a mass toddler skilling.

And you get the drift..

Anthony was promoted to traffic cop.

So it was off to the chess table with him.

** Tuesday **

Anna seemed to be skilling much faster than her sisters. She also liked to wake her aunty, Brooke, up during the night.

Brooke: “If I ever get out of this house, I am never having children”

Oliver is a great name for a son!

Brooke: “What?”

I’m just saying, is all.

It was also Chace’s birthday.

And this is cute..

Paige: “You make a handsome police officer sir”

Anthony: “You’re under arrest for being the best wife ever”

** Wednesday **

I decided to let Chace retire. This was good timing as it was also Paige’s first day back at work.

Brooke and Selena stayed home to look after the girls while Chace went on a collecting spree.

Back at home, Brooke was working on her art.

And Anthony was promoted to Patrol Officer.

** Thursday **

Selena found solitude in what was left of the garden. I don’t much like gardening in real life, and this seems to show in my neglect of sim gardens.

And this is what she was avoiding..

Dakota: “I want bed”

Dakota: “Graaaanddddmmmmaaaaa”

I swear that child is a terror.

Meanwhile, her sisters are playing quite calmly.

Anna: “vroom vroom”

In non-toddler related news, Paige got promoted to Desk Jockey, and I let Brooke move out.

** Friday **

I didn’t really take many photos for this day.

Chace was left to take care of the girls.

Anthony was asked to investigate information on Black Market Gnomes, and in turn he was promoted to lieutenant, and given a cop car.

** Saturday **

I started the post with their birthday, and now I shall end it with another.

Anna

She added computer whiz (and for the life of me I cannot remember why I chose this for her)

Rory

Rory added party animal.

Dakota

Dakota added mooch.

And that is all for this week. Till then, happy simming.

Dakota

Dakota: “These eyebrows have got to go!”

Week Nineteen

** Sunday **

Sunday Skilling Session, oh how the Champagne’s love Sundays..

Ethan was sent out to garden, and then he was allowed to fish.

Paige continued to work on her painting. She is improving in leaps and bounds.

After fishing, Ethan and his mother went down to city hall. There was a protest on in support of..computers. Penn’s wife, Kathy, was there.

Selena used this as an opportunity to entertain the masses with her super awesome guitar skills.

Ethan’s concentration, however, was on far more important things.

Later that evening they got engaged, aww!

Back at home, Brooke added the finishing touches to her sister’s portrait.

** Monday **

Chace was promoted to International Super Spy and in turn completed his LTW. To reward him, I let him raid the Criminal Warehouse.

Selena was also promoted, to Leader of the Free World. She too completed her LTW.

That day there was also a new maid working. His name was Anthony Lincoln.

A potential spouse yes?! The girls were very excited…or should I say the heiress, Paige, was very excited.

“Grilled Cheeses, Brooke. Did you see the man I get to marry? He is dreamy!”

“Dude, I’m trying to blow out my candles, can this wait?”

Yes, it was the twins’ birthday.

Brooke was up first.

Next it was Paige’s turn.

** Tuesday **

Doris and Ethan had a private wedding in Ethan’s garden.

Ethan, Doris, and the ghost of his mother, Aisha, then moved into a quaint house in the centre of town.

Paige introduced herself to Anthony and flirted with him all day.

She later proposed..

They had a private wedding in the hallway. Welcome Anthony – Flirty, Brave, Neat, Charismatic. LTW – International Super Spy.

** Wednesday **

Everybody except for Chace had to work, so he was sent to the garden.

Selena threw a fundraiser at the diner. Chace’s older brother Matthew came, as did his niece, Rosanna.

She definitely inherited the Champagne genetics.

Paige also had a little news of her own.

** Thursday **

Must keep the pregnant woman happy, must keep the pregnant woman happy. Yes, all of Paige’s wants and needs were met, regardless of what they were. First off it was off to the library to read a pregnancy book.

Anthony was promoted to Desk Jockey, and asked to read “How to Avoid Concrete Shoes”

It was Selena’s birthday, so she threw another fundraiser.

Emmett Crosby, the founder’s great grandson (Penny’s grandson) was there, sporting Alexis’s blonde hair and aqua eyes. Where oh where were those genetics in this side of the family?!

Emmett

Anyway, Selena managed to raise $52,924 in funds, and she successfully twirled into elderhood.

Selena

** Friday **

A happy thought to start the day with..

After this Paige autonomously decided to work out. Maybe not the best idea for a sim as pregnant as her.

Brooke was asked to bring in paintings for the bistro. After she had handed them in it was off to the library to work on charisma. She was having trouble finding a mate so I thought maybe if she was more charismatic it would help.

Back at home, Paige was getting her groove on.

This of course sent her into labour, which caused much chaos at home.

Paige: “OOOOOOWWWWWW”

Anthony: “OMG my hair, it must be neat when the baby arrives”

Selena: “My armpits, do they smell? I can’t have smelly armpits when I meet my grandchild!”

Paige: “A little help please..”

After all the drama, Anthony and Paige finally made it to the hospital, and were able to bring home healthy baby girls.

Here they are..

Rory

Anna

Dakota

** Saturday **

Ah, the joys of triplets. I split the babies up into different rooms as Paige and Anthony would never get any sleep. Poor Brooke had to stay home and help care for them.

After tending to baby requirements, Chace headed to the garage to work out.

Anthony joined him on the weights machine.

And to finish, here is a photo of Brooke autonomously playing with Dakota. She was a great aunt to these girls.

Happy Simming!

Week Eighteen

To those who have returned, welcome back to the Champagne Legacy. Again, I apologise for the long hiatus between posts. My real life is more hectic than even I can imagine, and the joys of renting are that you get poor internet connection. Anyway, for the next two weeks I’m stealing mum’s internet so the aim is to get a post a day (we’ll see how this turns out). On with the story…

** Sunday **

Not one to let a family death get in the way of skilling, the girls, Paige & Brooke, were sent to their easels to continue painting.

Paige paints the Goths

Again, Brooke continues to show more talent than her twin.

“Hey, I heard that!”

Brooke paints a portrait

Selena spent the day playing guitar outside city hall, while Chace practiced chess on the computer.

Ethan spent the morning fixing the garden before heading down to City Hall to meet up with Doris Olivas. She wanted to introduce him to her little sister, Francis (really I had him spouse hunting, and I figured it wouldn’t hurt to have options).

When Ethan met Frances

** Monday **

Ethan woke early, or to be honest, was woken early, so he could introduce himself to his mother, Aisha. They got along quite well, and spent many sim hours passing jokes between them.

Ethan & Aisha

For breakfast, Paige decided to try grapes for the first time. I think she enjoyed them..

"mmmm Grapes"

When Chace returned from work, he was sporting a nice set of pink scrubs.

Drama at the hospital Chace?

“Yes, someone stole all the linen”

On a positive note, Chace was also able to max athletic skill today!

As per usual, the children came home to another fundraiser being held.

Ethan was not happy as he was told to entertain his cousin, Kurt, who had aged into a YA.

Ethan

Kurt aged out of some of his ‘mother’s genes’, to put it politely.

Kurt

His little sister Carly, however, was not so fortunate.

Carly

Ethan, where are your manners?

“What? You said it yourself, she’s unfortunate looking”

Despite making that face at nearly every guest who attended, Ethan did not prevent his mother from making $30, 938 in campaign funds.

** Tuesday **

Selena was sent to the library to work on her charisma.

While at work, Chace was given a payrise. After solving the case of the missing hospital linen, he was also promoted to Triple Agent.

Ethan gardened, and the girls painted.

Brooke

** Wednesday **

I see you are improving Paige..

Paige

Chace, in need of report-worthy information, was sent to rummage in his neighbour’s garbage.

Selena was promoted to Vice President, so to celebrate she threw another fundraiser.

Chace used it as an opportunity to catch up with his twin, Penn. And if you’re wondering why the computer is broken, their friendly neighbour Carrie Bradshaw broke it.

Chace & Penn

Selena wowed her guests with her amazing guitar playing.

Selena

And the guests were obviously wowed, as they donated $41, 646 to her campaign.

** Thursday **

Finally, another birthday. Thursday was Ethan’s YA birthday, so Selena threw him a birthday/fundraiser party. All of the family was invited.

Rosanna, Penn’s daughter, was one of the first to arrive.

Rosie

Shea, Ashlee’s husband, arrived in all of his Elder glory.

Shea

As with all of her parties, Selena’s party was well attended.

Matt’s three children, Kurt, Carly and Teresa, attended the party. They do not seem to be the most polite family. Kurt and Teresa spent the entire party booing, pointing and laughing at Carly. I suspect it is because she is insane, but still..

Poor Carly

Despite everything, Selena’s party managed to raise $47, 743.

More importantly, Ethan because quite the attractive YA.

Ethan - Young Adult

** Friday **

Ethan’s first task was to sign up at the local science facility. Hooray for being a test subject.

Chace was asked to read “Keep ‘em Guessing” for work.

Selena was sent to play for tips outside the theatre. While there we spotted Shea, his son Bryce, and nephew Kurt all together. Family outing to the theatre anyone?!

The theatre’s security for the evening, Tobin Moreland, passed away. Although never meeting him before, Selena mourned him. And for some reason, I just don’t trust Kurt…

On a positive note, Selena did complete the Super Friendly Skill Challenge.

** Saturday **

I let Chace spend the day catching up with relatives. He’s worked so hard..not.

First stop was at the Crosby’s to congratulate them on a slew of birthdays. Latasha was an elder, and Bambi was a teen.

Bambi & Latasha

Next it was off to visit Ashlee, who had elder-fied.

Ashlee

Unlike Matt’s children, Ashlee’s were very friendly. Bryce cornered Chace in the bathroom to discuss law-related things.

Karissa, in the meantime, wanted to introduce Uncle Chace to her new beau, Brayden, or Branden..

Karissa & man-friend

Back at the legacy house, Ethan gardened, Paige worked out, and Brooke painted.

Till next time (tomorrow!!)

Happy Simming

Week Seventeen

Well, after a long hiatus due to uni commitments, a lack of internet and the general day to day running of life, I have finally returned with the Champagne Legacy. Not wanting to waste any more time, lets get straight into it…

** Sunday **

It seems I made a little error in my last update. I stated that either Carly or Teresa (Matthew’s twin girls) had attended Salina’s fundraiser. This was not correct, it was in fact their mother, Haeju, who attended. Amazing, no I didn’t think you would find it all that exciting. Anyway, the girls are still children, and Matilda visited them on Sunday. This is Carly..

Carly

and this is Teresa.

Teresa

Back at the legacy house, everyone is busy doing..things, oh and Brooke decided she wanted to be a Master of the Arts. Ethan was out in the garden..

while Chace was working on his logic

It was also Chace’s adult birthday, and Matilda cheered him on. His face is priceless. I can just imagine him saying “go away mum”.

** Monday **

During the night I made some renovations to the house. I made the lounge into a separate room and added a fireplace, which Ethan immediately ran to to warm his behind with.

I swear the Champagne’s all have hidden absent minded traits. The oven is always catching fire cause someone forgot that they were cooking.

Chace now goes to work in spiffy suits and doesn’t he look handsome?!

Chace

Monday was also Paige & Brooke’s teen birthday. Paige sparkled into teenhood first, closely followed by Brooke.

Paige

BrookeI never could work out where Brooke got her eye shape from, and it wasn’t till I was flicking through old screenshots of Matilda as a teen that I realised she had inherited them from her grandma. They used to bug me, but now I love it.

Paige also locked in the LTW of Forensic Specialist.

** Tuesday**

With their birthdays out of the way, it was time for the twins to start working towards their careers. Having decided on being a Forensic Specialist, Paige snuck in a quick work out before school (at the time I thought it was great that she autonomously worked out, by the time she was an elder, it was frustrating).

Salina had the day off, so she set off for the library to work on her charisma skills. Meanwhile, Matilda went to visit her daughter, Danielle, and discovered she’d soon be expecting another grandchild.

Danielle and Matilda

As soon as she got home from school Brooke headed straight to her easel to continue painting.

** Wednesday **

The most exciting news from Wednesday was that Salina was promoted to Mayor, and as per usual she threw a fundraiser to celebrate the occasion.

Governor Salina

As you can gather from the photo above, Karissa (Ashlee’s daughter) came home with Ethan so they could study together.

Paige retreated to the garage to continue working out.

As always, Salina’s fundraiser was well attended, and she raised $32, 695.

For those of you who know the pre-made family, The Glovers, this is what their children look like..

Beautiful hey?!

Meanwhile, Dani decided to hang around till the wee hours of the morning. I think someone told her that dancing was great for inducing labour.

Danielle

Well..they were correct, about one sim hour after she left I happened to check the family tree and discovered she’d given birth to a baby boy, John (aww).

** Thursday **

Chace

You know, Chace, if the wind changes you’ll be stuck with that face!

Meanwhile, even after living for 97 sim days, Matilda was still being helpful. After cooking waffles for breakfast, she headed outside to work in the garden.

Chace was promoted to Special Agent, and asked to read a book called “How not to be seen”.

Maybe sensing her time was near, Maddy headed off to visit various family relatives. First she went to the Crosby’s house to visit her sister’s (Penny) youngest grandchild, Bambi.

Bambi Crosby

Bambi was the first child born into this side of the family who did not inherit the founder’s aqua eyes.

Next it was off the Gregg household to visit Dani and her new son, John.

Danielle & baby John

Danielle doesn’t look very pleased..

** Friday **

While I wasn’t paying attention, Ethan and Doris’s relationship was blooming. Ethan may have slept through the school bus had it not been for Doris calling to say hello.

Due her impressive fundraising efforts, Salina was promoted to Governor.

After school, the children continued to work on their various skills, Brooke painted, Paige worked out, and Ethan retreated to his lake out the back.

And then tragedy struck..

Matilda was working out on the treadmill when she felt an unfamiliar sparkle.  Soon she was enveloped in a sea of golden sparkles, and she realised her time was up. Her immediate family ran into the garage to mourn their loved one.

I must admit even I had a tear in my eye.

Obituary:

Matilda Champagne was the youngest of three children born into the second generation of the Champagne Legacy. Although she was best remembered for her endeavours on the sports field, it was her family that made her the most proud. Matilda was preceded in death by her parents, Hunter and Alexis, her sister, Penelope, brother, Samuel and husband, Patrick. She leaves behind five children, Ashlee, Matthew, Danielle, Chace and Penn, along with ten grandchildren. (Kurt, Bryce, Karissa, Ethan, Rosanna, Brooke, Paige, Teresa, Carly and John – just in case you were wondering).

R.I.P Matilda Champagne

RIP Maddy

** Saturday **

Due to the loss of Matilda, I let the family have the day to themselves, and I decided to wander around town. I spotted Bambi outside the bistro, and she’d grown into a child. I swear that child will need therapy, being named after a cartoon dear and dressed like a watermelon..

Bambi Crosby

After spending the morning mourning her mother-in-law, I decided fresh air was just what Salina needed. She was sent off to city hall to play guitar. While there she ran into Danielle. The most random thing happened, I sent Salina over to comfort Dani, and instead Dani asked Salina to move in with her, Thaddeus and John.. what the?!..I declined the offer on her behalf, and then decided to get her to ask Dani for some campaign donations. Dani donated $6,829. Oh the joys of being rich..

Back at the house it seemed everyone was trying to distract themselves. Brooke retreated to her bedroom to work on some abstract artwork.

“The broken effect represents my heart over the loss of my nanna”

Right-oh Brooke >.>

Meanwhile, Chace went for a more hardcore approach.

“I miss my mumma”

I know you do sweetie.

See you next time.

Week Sixteen

It has come to my attention from reading other legacies, such as the DeCasims, that I am far too kind on my sims! Back when I was playing the founder, Alexis, and her children, spare time was non-existent, now my sims wander around doing what they like. Well no more I have decided! My next legacy, which I have already started planning, will be much more structured. Till then, the Champagnes and I will continue to share their story, and keep in mind that the sims in Generation 6 onwards of this legacy will not be getting off as lightly as their predecessors.

On with the update.

** Sunday **

I wouldn’t normally start an update off on a sad note, but I wanted to honour dear Khalid, who as expected, did not live for very long. He lived a short, but happy life in the main bedroom of the house, and kindly lent an ear (or tentacle) to anyone who needed a chat. Khalid the jellyfish, you will be missed.

Matilda spent the day visiting various family members. First it was off the the Gregg household to visit Danielle and Thaddeus, and after that it was off to Ashlee’s bunker to visit the grandchildren, Bryce and Karissa. Ashlee must’ve thought it was a moment worth celebrating as she put on her finest formalwear for the visit.

Matilda & Ashlee

Back at the legacy house, Chace was teaching his son, Ethan, how to play chess.

Chace & Ethan

“What’s this piece called son?”

“Prawn?”

“Not quite..”

Indeed, Ethan had taken to fishing like a duck to water. He was out there nearly every morning before school, which pleased me as I intended for him to pursue a career in science.

** Monday **

Well the start of the week usually means one thing for the Champagnes, and that’s birthdays. It was time for the twins to twirl into childhood. Brooke was up first and would’ve added Party Animal to her list of traits if my game hadn’t glitched.

Brooke

Paige was next up, and I cannot remember if the game glitched or not for her, so she either did or did not add over-emotional to her list of traits.

Paige

Matilda, being the senile but caring grandmother than she is, left the pancakes in the oven while watching the twins’ birthdays. Needless to say, it caught on fire. Being brave, the maid jumped in to extinguish the flames, and Maddy thanked her with a quick squeeze to the behind.

After the excitement/drama in the morning, both girls attended a painting class.

Chace was asked to stay back at work again, and was again repaid with another promotion, this time to Vice Squad.

Salina also had a promotion to Campaign Intern. It was also her adult birthday, woo.

After Patrick’s death, the garden got a little neglected. What was once a full, healthy garden, now has minimal plants. The flame fruit grew nicely though.

** Tuesday **

Being artistic, Brooke was given an easel for her birthday and set it up in her bedroom. She certainly had the better skill.

Brooke

Paige also tried her hand at painting. Her painting titled “when a sim daddy loves a sim mummy” doesn’t quite reflect the skill of her sister.

Paige

“I heard that”

Sorry Paige

Although not very skilled, Matilda was determined not to let her late husband’s garden die.

It was also Ethan’s teen birthday. He made a cheesy smile for the camera. Oh, and he added Green Thumb to his traits.

Ethan

** Wednesday **

Chace woke up early for a morning jog through the town. While Ethan accompanied the girls to their first day of school, Salina headed down to the local library to work on her charisma. While there, she spotted Gabrielle Gregg crying for her late husband Horiberto Gregg.

I did find this a little sad as he was Penn’s girlfriend Kathy’s father, and Danielle’s boyfriend Thaddeus’s dad. I ignored the Champagnes for a little while and went to check up on these two families and discovered that both couples had gotten married. Maybe Chace questioning Thad had done the trick after all. Wow, long paragraph, back to the story.

Bryce came home from school with Ethan. He clearly inherited his mother’s insanity, or else he has a strange sense of school appropriate fashion.

Ethan & Bryce

Chace, feeling like he needed a little help improving his athleticism turned to his mother.

Matilda training Chace

Ah, this definitely proved that Bryce was insane, but the boys did enjoy their afternoon playing in the sprinkler.

Oh, and after kicking her son off the treadmill, Matilda completed the Marathon Runner Skill Challenge. Go team!

** Thursday **

Ethan thought he’d try his hand at keeping a pet alive, so he added little Destiny the Goldfish to the fishbowl in his room.

Ethan feeding Destiny

Matilda was sent to the graveyard to collect seeds. I must be the last person to realise that deathf lowers have skulls on them in the game, nevertheless, how cool!

For some reason Matilda was asked to explore the catacombs. Either way, she found a really cool rare seed. Well I say really cool, it was probably not all that exciting, a potato most likely, or garlic oooooo!

Moving on, Ethan spent the afternoon working at Doo Peas Corporate Towers, and Paige was given the lovely job of delivering permission slips to City Hall. She benefited from it though as her mother gave her a lift home after finishing work.

I decided I’d try out the whole fundraising thing, so when she returned home, Salina called up a bunch of her friends and Champagne relatives and ordered them over to the legacy household for a party.

I’m sure none of the following will interest you so you can skip to Friday, but I was excited to see all the Champagne relies turn up.

First to arrive was Grady Crosby. For those of you who remember Penny, he’s her son. If he weren’t bald he may have been semi-decent looking.

Grady Crosby

Next to arrive were Kurt (Matthew’s son) and Karissa (Ashlee’s daughter).

Karissa & Kurt

Danielle Gregg was next to arrive. I thought it was sweet that she took his name.

Moving on, next was Shawanda Crosby. She’s Latasha Crosby’s oldest daughter, making her Penny’s granddaughter. Alexis’s aqua eyes ran strong in that side of the family.

Bryce rocked up a little later… You can see him in the car behind Shawanda.

Shortly after, Chace’s twin Penn arrived.

Penn

Penn was accompanied by his daughter, Rosanna.

Rosanna

The bald dude in this photo is Emmett Crosby, Shawanda’s brother.

Emmett

And last but not least, Latasha Crosby made a late arrival due to the fact that she ran to the party.

Latasha

Well, the party was quite a success, in my opinion anyway. Salina made $38,344 in donation funds AND completed the Celebrity skill challenge.

** Friday **

After a hectic night, Matilda was glad to find peace in Patrick’s garden.

Matilda

With everyone either at work or at school, Matilda was also able to take advantage of a quiet house and settle down in front of the television to watch the gardening channel.

After school, Brooke stayed back to clean the bug cage, and Ethan brought home a friend, Doris Olivas, his new potential wife!

Doris Olivas

In other news, Chace was promoted to Undercover Specialist, and Salina was promoted to Local Representative.

I sent Chace down to the bistro for a nice dinner to celebrate. While there he ran into his sister Dani. I thought it was amusing though that she got angry when he tried to talk to Jedidiah Shallow.

Oh well, she soon got over it. Her husband, Thad, arrived and proceeded to make out with her for the next sim hour or so.

** Saturday **

After the success of the last one, Salina threw another fundraiser. This time the theme was ‘Pool Party’ and everyone dressed up accordingly, except for Ashlee who rocked up in her athletics gear. Also, Rosie had aged into a teen.

Ashlee & Rosanna

Ethan also invited Doris along so he could flirt with her. Teresa or Carly, not sure which one, also came along.

Salina delighted the crowds by playing guitar, and received $48,690 in campaign funds which delighted me.

And to finish this week, we have another lovely photo of Chace bonding with his son, Ethan! Thank you for reading, see you next time

Week Fifteen

This photo has no real story behind it, but I thought it made a nice start to this update!

Chace & Ethan

** Sunday **

Naturally, the Champagnes were busy skilling away. Matilda read up on gardening, while Chace headed outside to gain some logic and chess skill. Salina, heavily pregnant, stayed inside to teach young Ethan how to walk. She had a bit of an interesting technique.

"Walk to Salina, there's a good boy Ethan"

And not long after there was a ‘butterfingers’ moment.

"Oopsy daisy, butterfingers"

Needless to say, Matilda took over childcare after this incident.

Later in the afternoon Matilda took to an easel.

Matilda

And Salina went into labour.

Salina - "oooowwwww"

Welcome to the family Brooke and Paige, yay twin girls.

Oh, and in other family business, Karissa (Ashlee’s daughter) is now a child and is quite cute.

Karissa

and Kurt (Matthew’s son) is also a child.

Kurt

** Monday **

Another day when I obviously neglected to take photos. Matilda spent the day teaching Ethan to walk while Salina took care of the nooboos.

Chace helped out a partner at work when they stuffed up, and his coworkers appreciated it. In turn he was promoted to Patrol Officer.

** Tuesday **

Tuesday was the twins’ birthday. I was excited to see what features they would have. Brooke sparkled up first, with matilda’s brown hair, and Salina’s eye colour.

Brooke - Toddler

Paige then took her turn to sparkle into toddlerhood, with Chace’s white-blonde hair and purple eyes. Paige

All three toddlers then proceeded to play with their blocks together.

Brooke, Paige & Ethan

Penny, Matilda’s older sister, passed away on Tuesday. It’s always sad to see the first born in game sim in the legacy pass away. Anyway, Penny will be remembered for passing on Lexi’s eye colour to future generations.

** Wednesday **

After tending to the garden, Matilda came inside to teach Brooke how to talk. It was also Ethan’s birthday, so later Matilda brought him up to the cake.

He grew into a cute child and added ambitious to his traits.

Ethan

After returning from a guitar class, Salina sat down with Paige to teach her to talk.

Salina & Paige

** Thursday **

The DeCasims have ‘Lake Mirasta’, the Champagne’s have ‘Lake Ethan’. It was built so Ethan could go fishing before 6am, which he was constantly rolling wants for.

Ethan

After spending the early hours of the morning stargazing, Chace set off to Caro Funke’s house to return the device she lent him to record his jogging efforts. I don’t know why he made this face when doing so, but maybe seeing Carol’s face would do that..

Chace & Carol Funke

Back at the legacy house the remaining adults were busy teaching important life skills to the twins. Chace headed off to the local primary school to give a lecture about good behaviour. His boss appreciated Chace’s honesty and promoted him to lieutenant, and handed over the keys to a brand new police cruiser. Chace then returned home to do his favourite thing, spend time with his children.

Chace & Brooke

Oh, and Samuel, Matilda’s older brother, passed away.

** Friday **

Matilda headed over to visit her eldest son, Matthew, as he and his wife had just had twin girls, Carly and Teresa.

Matilda & Matthew

Matt’s son, Kurt, got some very interesting genetics.

Kurt

I suspect (well actually I know) that the girls will grow up to look like their mother. Anyway, this cutie is Carly.

Carly

and Heaju is with Teresa.

Teresa & Haeju

After visiting Matthew, it was off to Ashlee’s house. Bryce had aged into an adorable teen, who looks just like his father, Shea.

Bryce

Matilda, Bryce and Karissa spend the rest of the afternoon chatting.

Bryce, Karissa & Matilda

Random fact: at this point Matilda has 9 grandchildren.

Anyway, not much else happened on Friday except Salina doing an election check at the school.

** Saturday **

Ethan rose bright and early to go fishing.

Ethan

Chace spent the day questioning other sims around town. First up was Sabrina Funke. Chace’s next victim was Danielle’s boyfriend, Thaddeus Gregg. I can just imagine Chace saying “Why wont you marry my sister?”

Thaddeus & Chace

Back at home, Matilda and Paige took advantage of the ever pleasant warm weather outside.

That’s all for this week, thanks for reading.
