It has come to my attention from reading other legacies, such as the DeCasims, that I am far too kind on my sims! Back when I was playing the founder, Alexis, and her children, spare time was non-existent, now my sims wander around doing what they like. Well no more I have decided! My next legacy, which I have already started planning, will be much more structured. Till then, the Champagnes and I will continue to share their story, and keep in mind that the sims in Generation 6 onwards of this legacy will not be getting off as lightly as their predecessors.
On with the update.
** Sunday **
I wouldn’t normally start an update off on a sad note, but I wanted to honour dear Khalid, who as expected, did not live for very long. He lived a short, but happy life in the main bedroom of the house, and kindly lent an ear (or tentacle) to anyone who needed a chat. Khalid the jellyfish, you will be missed.
Matilda spent the day visiting various family members. First it was off the the Gregg household to visit Danielle and Thaddeus, and after that it was off to Ashlee’s bunker to visit the grandchildren, Bryce and Karissa. Ashlee must’ve thought it was a moment worth celebrating as she put on her finest formalwear for the visit.

Back at the legacy house, Chace was teaching his son, Ethan, how to play chess.

“What’s this piece called son?”
“Prawn?”
“Not quite..”
Indeed, Ethan had taken to fishing like a duck to water. He was out there nearly every morning before school, which pleased me as I intended for him to pursue a career in science.
** Monday **
Well the start of the week usually means one thing for the Champagnes, and that’s birthdays. It was time for the twins to twirl into childhood. Brooke was up first and would’ve added Party Animal to her list of traits if my game hadn’t glitched.

Paige was next up, and I cannot remember if the game glitched or not for her, so she either did or did not add over-emotional to her list of traits.

Matilda, being the senile but caring grandmother than she is, left the pancakes in the oven while watching the twins’ birthdays. Needless to say, it caught on fire. Being brave, the maid jumped in to extinguish the flames, and Maddy thanked her with a quick squeeze to the behind.

After the excitement/drama in the morning, both girls attended a painting class.
Chace was asked to stay back at work again, and was again repaid with another promotion, this time to Vice Squad.
Salina also had a promotion to Campaign Intern. It was also her adult birthday, woo.
After Patrick’s death, the garden got a little neglected. What was once a full, healthy garden, now has minimal plants. The flame fruit grew nicely though.
** Tuesday **
Being artistic, Brooke was given an easel for her birthday and set it up in her bedroom. She certainly had the better skill.

Paige also tried her hand at painting. Her painting titled “when a sim daddy loves a sim mummy” doesn’t quite reflect the skill of her sister.

“I heard that”
Sorry Paige
Although not very skilled, Matilda was determined not to let her late husband’s garden die.

It was also Ethan’s teen birthday. He made a cheesy smile for the camera. Oh, and he added Green Thumb to his traits.

** Wednesday **
Chace woke up early for a morning jog through the town. While Ethan accompanied the girls to their first day of school, Salina headed down to the local library to work on her charisma. While there, she spotted Gabrielle Gregg crying for her late husband Horiberto Gregg.

I did find this a little sad as he was Penn’s girlfriend Kathy’s father, and Danielle’s boyfriend Thaddeus’s dad. I ignored the Champagnes for a little while and went to check up on these two families and discovered that both couples had gotten married. Maybe Chace questioning Thad had done the trick after all. Wow, long paragraph, back to the story.
Bryce came home from school with Ethan. He clearly inherited his mother’s insanity, or else he has a strange sense of school appropriate fashion.

Chace, feeling like he needed a little help improving his athleticism turned to his mother.

Ah, this definitely proved that Bryce was insane, but the boys did enjoy their afternoon playing in the sprinkler.

Oh, and after kicking her son off the treadmill, Matilda completed the Marathon Runner Skill Challenge. Go team!
** Thursday **
Ethan thought he’d try his hand at keeping a pet alive, so he added little Destiny the Goldfish to the fishbowl in his room.

Matilda was sent to the graveyard to collect seeds. I must be the last person to realise that deathf lowers have skulls on them in the game, nevertheless, how cool!
For some reason Matilda was asked to explore the catacombs. Either way, she found a really cool rare seed. Well I say really cool, it was probably not all that exciting, a potato most likely, or garlic oooooo!
Moving on, Ethan spent the afternoon working at Doo Peas Corporate Towers, and Paige was given the lovely job of delivering permission slips to City Hall. She benefited from it though as her mother gave her a lift home after finishing work.
I decided I’d try out the whole fundraising thing, so when she returned home, Salina called up a bunch of her friends and Champagne relatives and ordered them over to the legacy household for a party.
I’m sure none of the following will interest you so you can skip to Friday, but I was excited to see all the Champagne relies turn up.
First to arrive was Grady Crosby. For those of you who remember Penny, he’s her son. If he weren’t bald he may have been semi-decent looking.

Next to arrive were Kurt (Matthew’s son) and Karissa (Ashlee’s daughter).

Danielle Gregg was next to arrive. I thought it was sweet that she took his name.
Moving on, next was Shawanda Crosby. She’s Latasha Crosby’s oldest daughter, making her Penny’s granddaughter. Alexis’s aqua eyes ran strong in that side of the family.

Bryce rocked up a little later… You can see him in the car behind Shawanda.
Shortly after, Chace’s twin Penn arrived.

Penn was accompanied by his daughter, Rosanna.

The bald dude in this photo is Emmett Crosby, Shawanda’s brother.

And last but not least, Latasha Crosby made a late arrival due to the fact that she ran to the party.

Well, the party was quite a success, in my opinion anyway. Salina made $38,344 in donation funds AND completed the Celebrity skill challenge.
** Friday **
After a hectic night, Matilda was glad to find peace in Patrick’s garden.

With everyone either at work or at school, Matilda was also able to take advantage of a quiet house and settle down in front of the television to watch the gardening channel.
After school, Brooke stayed back to clean the bug cage, and Ethan brought home a friend, Doris Olivas, his new potential wife!

In other news, Chace was promoted to Undercover Specialist, and Salina was promoted to Local Representative.
I sent Chace down to the bistro for a nice dinner to celebrate. While there he ran into his sister Dani. I thought it was amusing though that she got angry when he tried to talk to Jedidiah Shallow.

Oh well, she soon got over it. Her husband, Thad, arrived and proceeded to make out with her for the next sim hour or so.

** Saturday **
After the success of the last one, Salina threw another fundraiser. This time the theme was ‘Pool Party’ and everyone dressed up accordingly, except for Ashlee who rocked up in her athletics gear. Also, Rosie had aged into a teen.

Ethan also invited Doris along so he could flirt with her. Teresa or Carly, not sure which one, also came along.

Salina delighted the crowds by playing guitar, and received $48,690 in campaign funds which delighted me.
And to finish this week, we have another lovely photo of Chace bonding with his son, Ethan! Thank you for reading, see you next time
